About Dr. Wang Ju-yi
Dr. Wang Ju-yi graduated from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1962 and has been practicing Chinese medicine for nearly 50 years. Former posts held by Dr. Wang included: chief physician of the Acupuncture Department of Beijing Hospital of Chinese Medicine, the director of the Xuanwu Hospital of Chinese Medicine, the director of the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and Editor-in-chief of the journal Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion. He is the founder of the Wang Ju-yi Applied Channel Theory Research Center in Beijing.
Dr. Wang has also lived and taught in Greece, Mexico, Columbia, the United States, and Australia for extended periods. In addition to teaching visiting students and practitioners from all around the world at his research center in Beijing, Dr. Wang periodically travels, upon request, to give workshops in various overseas venues. Recent destinations include Germany (Frankfurt, Munich) and France (Paris) in 2010.
A true scholar and devotee of classical Chinese medical theory, Dr. Wang continues to research and explore the application of wisdom extracted from the classics to the modern practice of acupuncture. His book, Applied Channel Theory in Chinese Medicine, co-authored by his American apprentice, Jason D. Robertson, has become one of the most popular texts on channel studies worldwide, and is being translated into German, French, and Spanish.
Dr. Wang’s humility, as well as his generosity in sharing his extensive knowledge and experience with the global TCM community, has gained him the love, respect, and gratitude of all who have been graced with his teaching and inspiration. His closest apprentices are Jason Robertson, Yefim Gamgoneishvili, Nyssa Tang, Jonathan Chang, and Mei Li.
王居易，主任医师、教授。1962年毕业于北京中医学院。曾任北京中医医院主任医师、宣武中医院院长、中国中医研究院针灸骨伤学院针灸系主任，《中国针灸杂志》主编，美国加州中医学院博士教研室主任。现任北京经络医学研究中心主任。
王主任在长期的临床实践中，运用经络理论指导临床，摸索出一整套循经诊察的方法，通过审切循按扪等手段，查找异常经脉，分析疾病，辨别病因病机所在，从而治疗疾病，提高疗效。其针刺手法轻柔有序，出入如神，效果显著。王主任从认识经络，调整经络，呵护与珍爱经络入手，提出了治未病的理论观点。
